About Me


How did I get here?

During my freshman year in college, I became really interested in fitness. Throughout my whole life before college, I danced. When I started college, I realized that I had nothing keeping me active anymore. I was on a typical college student diet – mac and cheese, ramen noodles, pizza, pop tarts – SO many processed foods! One day I just up and decided to change my habits and make moves towards a healthier lifestyle. I started working out about 3 to 5 days a week and eating somewhat healthier. I made changes to my lifestyle little by little. Then I noticed the positive effects on my body and how I felt. I realized that what we eat and how we exercise directly affects our bodies. This, to me, was amazing and intrigued me.

Since then, I have become completely immersed into the growing world of fitness and nutrition. While still working towards my degree in Psychology with a Health and Wellness minor, I am now an NASM certified personal trainer and an AFAA Indoor Cycling instructor as well.

    After exploring the comment name links that lead me from one blog to the next, I found you. I love your blog so far, Kayla! I have been getting more and more into fitness lately. My hubby and I live in PA (your neighbor to the South!), and, lately, we’ve been doing Focus T25 together. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but it’s a fairly recent new workout program release from the same guy (Shaun T) and company (Beachbody), who came out with insanity. It’s been pretty tough…but, we’ve been making it through it! Well, I had just wanted to stop by and say that I love your blog!
